Equestrian Chaos

Part 1

“Man this is the life” the blue hedgehog says as he continues to run rapidly through the forest. As he speeds by trees and branches, he hums his favorite song, His World, in his head. The lyrics play in his head as if he’s listening to it live. “In this world / His world! / Where life is strong // In this world / His world! / Life’s an open book…” the tune plays in his head.

Finally slowing down from his speedy jog, he stops at a cliff. Looking out over the cliff he admires how peaceful it is and how happy the world is thanks to him. He takes a small sigh of joy at the sight of the peaceful landscape.

“Hey Sonic!”

“Huh?” Sonic says as he looks over his shoulder. He sees his best friend, Tails the Fox, flying in with his twin tails.

“Hey Tails, what's up?”

“Finally! Do you know how hard it is keeping up with you?”

“Heh, heh, yeah sorry ‘bout that buddy. So what’s up?”

“Amy is looking for you”

“Oh. Uh... Is it important?”

“I think it is”

“Oh man. Well guess I better go see what she needs”

Before Sonic has a chance to run off, Tails stops him.

“Oh and Sonic”

“Yeah, Tails?”

“I wouldn’t say anything to make her angrier than she already is”

“Thanks for the warning, buddy”

Tails then gives a fist bump and thumbs up as he flies away leaving Sonic in peace and quiet again. Sonic let’s out another sigh looking out past the cliff one more time.

“Life can’t get much better than this”

Sonic then takes off in a quick sprint to Amy’s house.

“I can’t believe he forgot!” Amy says.

“Oh please Miss Amy, I’m sure Mr. Sonic is still coming” Cream says, trying to call Amy down.

“He’s just a little late, that’s all. Isn’t that right Cheese?”

“Choo”

“Your right Cream, Sonic will be here” As the girls continue talking a knock is heard on the door.

“Oh maybe that’s Mr. Sonic, Miss Amy”

“Well it’s about time!” Amy walks to the door and prepares to let out a flurry of complaints to Sonic but to her surprise it wasn’t Sonic at the door. Instead of the blue hedgehog she was expecting, Amy saw a familiar black and red hedgehog.

“Shadow!? What are you doing here?!” Amy yells.

“Is Sonic here? I need to speak with him” Shadow says as he slightly pushes Amy aside and enters her house.

“HEY! You can’t just barge in here demanding to speak to Sonic!”

“I already checked his home. So I assume he’s either out running or here.”

“Well he’s not here so GET OUT!”

“Is everything okay, Miss Amy? Oh hi, Mr. Shadow. Are you here to visit Miss Amy?”

“No…”

”Look here Shadow, Sonic isn’t here so LEAVE!”

“Do you know where he is?”

“Why do you wanna know anyway?”

“It’s important business. Not for little kids”

“HEY! I am not a little kid!”

“Tch, whatever” As Shadow walks to the door and prepares to leave he is stopped by a familiar figure.

“Hey Shadow! Long time, no see! Funny running into you here! What you doing at Amy’s?” The blue hedgehog says with his signature grin.

“SONIC!” Amy shouts as she runs over and hugs him.

“Uh hey Amy” Sonic says nervously.

“What took you so long? Did you forget?”

“Forget what?”

“You promised me you would show me your favorite place you like to go when you’re relaxing”

“I never promised that!” Sonic says defensively.

“Yeah, I never remember Mr. Sonic promising that, Miss Amy” Cream says.

“Sonic. We need to talk” Shadow says, intervening.

“Huh? What’s up Shadow?”

“Do you have the Chaos Emeralds on you?”

“Why?” Sonic asks tensing up and motioning for Amy to get behind him.

“It’s a simple question Sonic. Do you have them, yes or no?”

“Yeah I do. Why do you care?” Sonic says with an attitude.

“Sonic...” Shadows says, letting out a small, frustrated sigh. “You need to follow me” he says, making his way towards the blue hedgehog.

“And why is that?”

“The echidna is waiting on us, so lets go” Shadow finally stops in front of Sonic.

“The echidna? Wait, you mean Knuckles? What does he want?”

“I don’t know but he told me he needed to see you and your stupid 12 year-old friend”

“Stupid? Please, show me some of your inventions then, genuis!”

“Yeah, SHADOW!” Amy says, adding on to Sonic.

Sonic and Shadow both give her an emotionless glare. “Stay out of this”

“Hello?”

As the two hedgehogs are arguing a two tailed fox enters the house.

“Hey Sonic, I see you got here already”

Tails notices Shadow in front of Sonic and Amy behind him.

“Hey what’s going on here?”

“Okay the squeaker’s here so now we can go”

“Hey, just because he doesn’t sound like Batman doesn’t mean he’s a squeaker!”

“Look can we just go see what the echidna want’s”

“What’s going on?” Tails asks in a confusing voice.

“Fine Shadow. But you really do need to lay off man”

“Tch, whatever. So we should use Chaos Control so we can get this over with”

“Sure. Tails we need to go to Angel Island. Knuckles needs to see us”

“Why?”

“Look, it doesn’t matter, all I know is that he said it’s important. Now let’s go!” Shadow says, raising his voice.

“Man you’re in a hurry, aren’t you?” Sonic says as he reaches behind his back quills and pulls out a cyan blue Chaos Emerald. “Alright guys, lets go!”

As Sonic holds the light blue Chaos Emerald in his hand Tails gathers closer. Sonic then raises the Chaos Emerald high and shouts the two words, “CHAOS… CONTROL!” As Sonic shouts the two words a bright light shines over Sonic, Tails, and Shadow and instantly transports them to Angel Island.

“I hate you guys…” Amy says, being left behind.

“That’s not nice, Miss Amy” Cream says.

Amy then gives a cold glare at Cream.
